MONTREAL, May 11, 2017 – One of Canada’s largest pizza chains continues to expand in Quebec with the opening of its first location in Sherbrooke. Located at 2755 King Street West, near Lionel-Groulx Boulevard, the new Pizza Pizza restaurant offers an extensive menu that includes its famous line up of pizzas, including classic, gourmet and gluten free options, as well as a 26-seat dining room, take-out counter and delivery service.
“We are excited to open this first restaurant in Sherbrooke and to explore another facet of the Quebec market,” said Pat Finelli, Chief Marketing Officer for Pizza Pizza.
The new franchisees for the location, Richard Sirois and France Malenfant, have several years of experience in the quick serve restaurant industry in Sherbrooke and Sept-Îles.
“We have had this endeavour on our mind for a long time,” says Sirois. “The Pizza Pizza franchise met our expectations and Sherbrooke was a natural choice – we know the city well and have family here,” adds Malenfant.
The opening of the restaurant should create some 15 new jobs.
Pizza Pizza is a well-established chain in Quebec. The company has been operating in the province since 2008 and now has 56 restaurants across Quebec.
