MONTREAL (June 30, 2026) As thousands of Québécois prepare for the province’s annual Moving Day, Pizza Pizza is once again hitting the streets of Montreal to bring some joy to one of the busiest days of the year.
Unique to Québec, Moving Day takes place every July 1 when leases expire across the market, resulting in thousands of residents moving homes on the same day. From booking moving trucks months in advance to coordinating help from friends and family, the day comes with no shortage of logistical challenges.
To help make the experience a little easier, Pizza Pizza will be travelling throughout the Montreal area on July 1, surprising movers with free pizza, drinks, and the brand new ‘Pizza Pizza Moving Day Kit’.
Designed specifically for Moving Day, the kit contains practical essentials including plates, napkins, Creamy Garlic Dips, a pizza cutter, and a Pizza Pizza gift card. The innovation does not stop there. The box itself transforms into a table, becoming what may be the first piece of furniture in a resident’s new home.
“Pizza has always been part of Moving Day, but this year we wanted to take it one step further. By turning the box into what might be someone’s first piece of built furniture, we’re helping make their first meal in a new home a little more memorable,” said Ivy Yu, Marketing Manager at Pizza Pizza.
